We ship the tools back to the US for professional rebuild which (as required) includes

• Removing the original rivet
• Facing of the blade edge
• Installing new rivet
• Reworking the heads
• Reset the handles
• Hand sharpening of the blades
• Heat treating
• Clean and polish

The rebuilds are done by a GE Forge approved service.

The processing time is 6+ months but it's worth the wait.
